This project set out to create a striking, all-in-one record player console that offered luxury audio at a more accessible price point. Inspired by modernist principles and the MAYA (Most Advanced Yet Acceptable) design philosophy, I conducted deep research into user needs, market gaps, materials, and aesthetics. Through iterative sketching, modeling, and stakeholder feedback, I developed a bold yet functional form using painted MDF and recycled audio components. Emphasis was placed on balancing visual impact with ergonomic usability and cost-effective production. The final design stands as a refined, minimalist statement piece built for contemporary living spaces.
Problem: The problem is twofold most record players require users to buy mismatched parts—turntable, amp, speakers, and storage—separately. On top of that, they lack visual impact; there's no swag. This project solves both with a unified, statement-making design.
